A dream first half to the Old Firm derby for the Celts. and Job Done For Celtic

Final Result 3-0

This was a sensational game with lower possession stats than normal for Celtic.

Celtic played with fast fanatic football game and put this game to bed early. The hoop will now prepare for the weekend!

Abada played first class and the game could have easily been 5 or 6-0 and against McGregor, this is a top class goal keeper we are talking about!

Slowly put surely Celtic are looking to go above their rivals, this is a team that has put a marker down, the challenge now is for rangers to fix thing, this will be like a dagger to the heart.

Hatate has shown his class and a great start to his time with Celtic, he has so much composure, he showed no panic and shifted so well and the likes of Bassey could not deal with him.

Rangers did have a sniff of goal with Arfield, but he failed to hit it first time and was not good enough. Rangers failed to close down and were too busy ball watching. They were taken back by the energy Celtic and never recovered.

Celtics manager is firm and pleased, but want his team to play a certain way and has more work to do with them, he has high expectations and its fighting to think he was not happy with their fitness after a first half of extreme intensity and high energy seen very rarely by other teams. Rangers have been left with something to think about.

Rangers manager was very disappointed, he admits was not ready for it. They were better in the second half but it was to late. He felt they were to naïve and had an honest conversation with his team about improving and being prepared for hearts. He lost big here himself as a player so knows how his players felt, Rangers were intimidated tonight but need to focus.

This is a well deserved win for Celtic which was won in the first half
